Waking up Saturday morning, Hannah was excited for the day to begin. She couldn’t wait to meet all the members coming from other charters. Learning about the club was something she knew she needed. Hoping everyone would accept her and that she may have found a place in the first stop of her life.

Going to the dresser, she carefully picked out an outfit. Jeans, black t-shirt, and her boots were essential to her today. Braiding her hair kept it from her face, though she no longer cared about if it signified her marital status because those rules didn’t apply here. Instead, it was practical. They were going to play games on the motorcycles, which Nova had told her about. She always looked forward to riding with Hack. The women had side bets going on about who’d win the games.

She heard the motorcycles roaring in the driveway and found her hoodie for when the sun went down. The noise was more than their usual club’s members. Peeking out the window, she saw lines of motorcycles pulling in. Were they going to fit into the driveway?

Red had walked out of the house, and as they started to park, the people began to get off their bikes. Red greeted each of the members with a hug and handshake. Creature was barking wildly with its tail wagging as she made her own greeting. Hannah still wasn’t sure about the mutt, but she had to admit the dog appeared to be friendly.

The knock on the door startled her.

“Preacher Girl, are you ready to go and set up the picnic?” Lil’ Mama asked from outside the door.

Hannah opened the door with a smile. “I’m ready. Let’s get this show on the road.”

“I want you to ride in the van with me and the twins. Cass is going over on his motorcycle.”

Hannah followed her through the trailer. Boxes and coolers of food were sitting by the door. “Does all this stuff need to go out to the van?”

“Yeah, but I’ll get Cass and a few of the guys to load it for us. I need to get the twins in their car seats and out to the van.” Lil’ Mama grabbed a car seat and set it on the coffee table in the living room.

The door to the outside opened, and Cass walked in. “Need any help in here?”

“Can you get a few guys and load all this into the van.”

“Sure, anything for you beautiful.” Cass kissed Lil’ Mama on the lips.

Hannah smiled. She felt her cheeks warm up and knew now a love match could be part of her life. Strange how now all she wanted to do was get married, work, and have children. Why she didn’t see that before now it wasn’t with the right man. Thomas was someone that she wanted with her whole heart.

“Let me help you, Cass.” Hannah met him at the door.

“Just open the door for me, then step back, I got this.” Cass made it through the door with the first load.
